TEEN LGBTQ+ Support Group
What: Teen LGBTQIA+ peer and support group for ages 13-17.
Cottonwood counseling is excited to announce a biweekly support group for any teen who self-identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our goal is to provide a safe, accepting and inclusive space for teens to gather to learn skills for managing anxiety and depression, to discuss the daily struggles they may have at school or home and know they are not alone in their experiences.
Who: These groups will meet every other week and are lead by Aiden Davis, LCSW who’s passion and specialization are working with transgender/gender non-conforming individuals and members of the LGBTQ community from ages 12+. When: Group will be on the second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Thursday of the month and will have a cap of 8 participants per group due to limited space.
Although meant to be engaging and focused on teens, this is still a mental health service. The cost of the group will depend on health insurance coverage, so please reach out to us so our office can help answer any additional questions you have.
